The Story of Kinfauns

The Story of Kinfauns
The house on which I will focus is nothing to do with the contemporary building.

Work-in-progress of my modelling - Dec 2017

Its construction phase looks something like follows :
- 1953 original construction
- 1960 the owner adds an extension of two bedooms, thus giving it its Z shape,
- 1964-1965 building the pool
- 1966-1967 the old garage is annexed to the main building : the kitchen is extended to 2 windows and the house now includes the iconic living room with its round windows and its fireplace that will be painted by the fool.
- 1966 construction of the new garage (the only thing that has survived).
- 1967 building of the greenhouse
I haven't put a date on the goldfish pond yet but as far as  I believe, its was already erected in 1969

On March 12th 1970, George and Pattie Harrison moved out of Kinfauns, their bungalow, that they had sold to Barry Mason and Sylvan Whittingham, for 40.000£.

As far as i have seen, the walls were white washed in the early 70's, and a porch was added above the entrance door (1). Later the veranda was demolished , an additionnal room was appended to the music room that also got a door leading to the study (former living room) (2)
Due to the poor state of the bungalow (3) the bungalow was demolished in 2003, the only thing remaining are the "high walls" that give its name to the two storeys building, the garage and the two rounded windows that were recycled elsewhere.
